We have been providing reliable and affordable business services to business owners in Surrey for the last 20 years. The company changed hands in 2012 when Katherine De Vita and Susan Laurio became the new owners, and have played a big role in bringing us where we are today. 


Over the years, we have had a chance to work with over 300 companies – start-ups to established companies – both local and international, equipping us with vast experiences, which will come in handy to help you take your business to the next level. Basically, we’ve been offering Surrey office spaces, virtual office solutions, as well as professional and reliable administrative services to these companies. And we’ve always ensured that the businesses were operating in a clean and safe environment, not to mention a socially respectful environment. 


We have served lawyers, engineers, financial brokers, financial advisors, energy directors, media executives, health practitioners and so many other professionals over the years, which is to tell you that no matter the field that you are in, we got you covered. We are located in a prime location, bordering South Surrey and White Rock, which is basically a walking distance of one of the country’s big banks. Other businesses in the area include eateries, grocery stores, coffee shops, and a shopping mall, which all makes it a business hub, and a place where your company will surely thrive. All these, plus the fact that it’s a convenient transit and that it’s a couple of minutes away from the beautiful White Rock Beach, means that there will surely be a lot of customers nearby.

 
Due to the increasing demand for Surrey business offices, OPBC decided to expand their available offices, where they added a couple of larger offices to its inventory, plus an amazing outdoor Terrace that’s used to provide our clients with extra protection when in meetings or gatherings. Something that we will never compromise is the health and safety of our clients, so we always do our very best to get it. As a matter of fact, we review and customize all our facilities regularly, not only to ensure that we meet the clients’ ever-changing needs, but we also ensure that their safety is always guaranteed.

Katherine DeVita

Owner

Bringing her multi-faceted background in Business, Hospitality, Career Development and Psychology, Katherine stepped into her new role as owner of OPBC in June 2012. She recognized the value in offering a first-class Business Centre to local professionals who required a space, supports and a professional image to make their own.

Katherine understands the heartbeat of this community. 

Her life on the Peninsula began when her family moved from Vancouver to South Surrey where she attended Sunnyside Elementary and graduated from Semiahmoo Senior Secondary. She further obtained her BA in Psychology from UBC.  Certified as a Career Development Practitioner and facilitator, as well as Personality Assessment professional, Katherine has always been fascinated by careers and people and their chosen business pathways.

In February 2020, Katherine was honoured by being nominated and shortlisted for the South Surrey / White Rock Chamber of Commerce ‘Business Leader of the Year’
 

 

Susan Laurio

Office Manager

With over 20 years’ experience as a Business Office Professional, Susan Laurio demonstrates extensive organizational skills, excellent administrative abilities and a solid client-centered mentality.
 
Susan’s past work experience includes working in the Civil Registry, government agencies, bookkeeping for private firms and as a facilitator and administrative assistant in post-secondary institutions. Her credentials include Certification as a Payroll Supervisor.
 
Susan has a solid knowledge of MS Office, Quickbooks and general bookkeeping systems. She has developed excellent computer technical skills, has excellent social media marketing abilities and is the ‘go-to’ person at Ocean Pointe Business Centre. Currently, she manages 24 offices and more than 60 virtual clients since 2012.”
